  Kang Yatse II and Stok Kangri are cousins when it comes to altitude and difficulty level. If you cannot undertake the Stok Kangri trek for some reason then Kang Yatse II is the option that’ll fit exactly in the spot of Stok Kangri. To make things clear the first thing that a trekker should know about the Kang Yatse peaks is that Kang Yatse is a throne shaped mountain thus accounting for two peaks. So Kang Yatse II speaks for peak two of the Kang Yatse Mountain. Now, the altitude of Kang Yatse II is 20,500 ft above the mean sea level which is 318 ft higher than the Stok Kangri peak. Coming to the trekking trail of Kang Yatse II Expedition, the climb is considered to be one of the steepest rises from 11,150 ft to 20,500 ft above the mean sea level.
